The Lytton and District Chamber of Commerce has sponsored the Visitor Centre since 1981.
The present Visitor Centre was built in 1985 and was officially opened in May 1986, with Mayor Vic Loring and Lytton First Nation Chief Ruby Dunstan presiding.
Besides being a Visitor Centre under TourismBC, the Visitor Centre houses the Chamber of Commerce, a business reference library and is a focal point of our community.
